Fausti also delivered a very strong performance at the IV Menorca Open Chess 2025 (held from April 22 to 27) in Ciutadella, Menorca. He finished in 24th place among more than 300 participants, scoring 6 points out of 9 and achieving a performance rating of 2654, which earned him 18 FIDE Elo points. During the nine rounds, he faced five Grandmasters, defeating two of them (GM Jan Malek 2516 and GM Savva Vetokhin 2549), drawing against two others (GM Momchil Petkov 2526 and GM Praveen Balakrishnan 2489), and losing to GM Shanglei Lu 2618, who finished second in the tournament. Fausti continues to face elite-level opponents and gain valuable experience in international tournaments.
