At just 12 years old, Fausti will compete in the Aeroflot Open in Russia as he looks to secure his final Grandmaster norm.\nThe traditional Aeroflot Open, which will take place from February 27 to March 6, is a prestigious international chess event held in Moscow. In the previous edition, Ian Nepomniachtchi was crowned champion. The event features a 60+30 time control over 9 Swiss-system rounds among 180 players. In the event of a tie for first place, the winner will be decided through tiebreaks. There will be three divisions in total: Group A (players rated 2300 or higher); Group B (children born in 2014 or later); and Group C (personal invitations from the organizers).
