It was a highly intense 9-round tournament for Fausti, where he faced strong opponents and scored 5.5/9 points (4 wins, 3 draws, and 2 losses). He finished in 27th place out of nearly 170 players, improving on his initial 35th seed. He came very close to earning his third GM norm, but he returns home with something equally valuable: the understanding that clear goals, dedication, and hard work continue to build the path forward. Additionally, during the closing ceremony, he had the opportunity to meet Anatoly Karpov, who wished him good luck and shared a handshake with him.
